Usage Guide:
Grooming Guide
1. Brush or comb your dog before using a clipper so the clipper comb won’t get caught in tangled fur.
2. Keep your free hand on your dog to help calm it and prevent sudden movement. This hand can also be used to pull the dog’s skin taut underneath the clipper.
3. Move the clipper slowly, and always move it in the direction of hair growth. Groomers usually start at the back of a dog’s neck, work their way back and down on one side of the body, then do the other side.
4. Hind legs, front legs, chest and belly can then be done in that order. Clean any accumulated fur from the clipper as you go along. If the fur is difficult to remove, an old toothbrush can be used. Installation
To install combs onto the clippers, first engage the metal hook at the base of the comb onto the back end of the cutting head, then press the comb forward and down until it snaps firmly into place. If the comb rattles or feels loose, it isn’t installed correctly.
Maintenance
Clipper blades can get hot after extended use, so check the back of the blade against your hand occasionally and let the clipper cool off for a few minutes if it’s getting uncomfortably hot. Clipper blades should be lubricated after every few uses with a clipper oil. If the clipper makes a loud clicking sound when it’s first turned on, this indicates the voltage-power control needs to be adjusted for your local household voltage. To do this, use the provided screwdriver to rotate the voltage-power screw (indicated with a yellow label) COUNTER CLOCKWISE until there is no clicking/snapping sound when the clipper is turned on.
Note: For safety reasons, we do not recommend that customers attempt to repair any part of these clippers. If the clippers stop functioning correctly, contact Pet Magasin for a refund or replacement.
